OTHER ABSENCES FROM DUTY. A. Anyone who is drafted or called into military service while teaching here should be returned to a position and given full credit up to two (2) years for his/her service, provided an application for return is made within ninety (90) days after discharge or otherwise provided by statute.

OTHER ABSENCES FROM DUTY. 3.1 Where there is a death in an employee's immediate family, namely a father or mother; stepfather or stepmother; xxxxxx father or xxxxxx mother; father-in-law or mother-in-law; brother-in-law or sister-in-law; son-in-law or daughter-in-law; grandfather, grandmother or grandchild; brother or sister; stepbrother or stepsister; husband or wife; child, stepchild, aunt or uncle, or any relative by blood or marriage or xxxxxx child living in the same establishment as the employee, the employee affected shall be allowed time off, with pay, not to exceed three (3) days. The time paid for shall be limited to lost, scheduled work time, up to and including three (3) days following the funeral.   • Other Absences An employee who is absent from work for any reason, other than those reasons listed above, will not be entitled either to have his/her vacation scheduled or to receive a vacation allowance during the period of such absence.

  • Excused Absences Absences will be excused only under the following circumstances.

  • ABSENCE FROM DUTY Unless a provision of this agreement states otherwise (e.g. sick leave), an employee not attending for duty will lose their pay for the actual time of such non- attendance.

  • Leaves and Absences A. 1) Ten (10) days of sick leave shall be credited annually to each teacher in accordance with Section 1154A of the School Code. The total unused portion of the annual sick leave allowance shall be permitted to accumulate indefinitely.   • Unexcused Absences Employees who are absent without approved leave (with the exception of emergencies) may be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge from employment.

During the first three (3) years of employment, a regular or limited term employee shall earn approximately five (5) hours and fifty-one (51) minutes of annual leave during each eighty (80) hour pay period (approximately one hundred fifty-two [152] hours per year), or a prorated amount for any pay period in which the employee is paid for less than eighty (80) hours.
