OAPSE Day. There is hereby established OAPSE Day, which day shall be the third Friday in October. Bargaining unit employees shall be released without loss of salary to attend the annual district OAPSE meeting as a professional day on such day. An employee wishing to attend the OAPSE meeting shall make a prior written request to his/her immediate superior as defined in Section 6.3 of this Agreement. Where the operation of the school district requires that certain personnel be on duty, priority in the following order shall be given to those making a written request to attend OAPSE Day:
