NOTICE FOR REQUEST OF LEAVE. TO ATTEND MEET AND CONFER SESSIONSThe Union shall provide the City not less than two days prior notice when requesting leave with or without pay to attend meet and confer sessions. When two day's notice cannot be provided, notice shall be provided as soon as possible. This Section shall not be interpreted to require the City to grant any such leave, but instead is intended to provide prior notice of requests for leave, so that the City may attempt to allow such leave with a minimum of interruption of schedules and operations.

  • Notice of Leave In any case in which the necessity for FMLA leave is based upon an expected birth or placement for adoption, or planned medical treatment for a serious health condition of the employee, family member, or member of the employee’s household, the employee will provide the Superintendent with at least sixty (60) calendar days advance written notice of the date the leave is to begin. When the need for FMLA leave is due to unforeseen circumstances and advance notice is not practicable, the employee will provide notice of the need for such leave as soon as practicable.

All leave may be used in tenth of an hour increments provided, however that use of personal leave to cover tardiness related absences shall not serve as a bar or defense to disciplinary action.

  • Advance Notice of Lay-Off In the case of lay off, the Employer shall notify all permanent employees who are about to be laid off twenty (20) working days prior to the effective date of lay off. If the employee, in such case, has not had the opportunity to work twenty (20) full days after notice of lay off, the employee shall be paid in lieu of work for that part of twenty (20) days during which work was not made available.

  • Advance Notice of Layoff The Employer shall notify employees who are to be laid off four (4) weeks prior to the effective date of layoff. If the employee has not had the opportunity to work the days as provided in this article, they shall be paid for the days for which work was not made available.
