Most Urgent Experiences to Share for the MunicipalityThe project Climate Neutral Barkarbystaden 2030 has resulted in several important lessons. An electricity effect survey was carried out with the help of E.ON, for Barkarbystaden, which illustrated Barkarbystaden's future power needs based on three scenarios. The survey highlighted the importance of reducing energy demand through energy-efficient buildings, utilising already available resources in the form of residual flows and adding new ones in the form of renewable and recycled items to reduce the risk of future power shortages. The project has also carried out studies on climate-neutral construction, innovation, collaboration and carbon storage, with the aim of highlighting and concretising what is required to contribute to the goal of a climate-neutral city. All results and lessons learned from the project are collected in Action plan for climate-neutral Barkarbystaden, which goes up for decision in early 2022. Järfälla municipality also drives the CERO project, where several large employers in Järfälla work together to reduce emissions from employees' commuting and business trips. During the year, the project's five partners have been increased to six, which creates good conditions for further reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Discussions are also being held with Arla about possible mobility solutions in connection with their major establishment in Kallhäll. Establishing contact and a good cooperation with industry in the municipality is crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and working together toward both local and global climate targets.

Most Urgent Experiences to Share for the Municipality‌ Xxxx Municipality would like to share its experience of forming a Climate Policy Council that reviews the municipality's climate work. In 2018, Xxxx Municipality was the first in the country to establish a local Climate Policy Council. Every year, the Council submits a report with a review of the municipality's climate work to the Municipal Board. The Council's task is to examine the municipality's work on reducing the climate impact and adaptation. It will also propose improvements that contribute to the municipality's achievement of its climate targets. The Council consists of expertise in various sciences from Xxxx University and SLU Alnarp. The municipality's purpose in establishing the council is to take advantage of the knowledge that exists at the universities. This is done to develop a successful and innovative work on the climate, which can also lead to innovations for the climate and an increased quality of life in Lund. The municipality also wants the Council to contribute to increased discussion among Lund residents on climate issues. Xxxx Municipality also wishes to share experiences and successes in becoming a fossil fuel-free municipality. This was achieved to 99% in 2020, which was also the goal for the effort, thanks to a strong focus on its own fleet of vehicles. This has been done in an innovative way by also focusing on, in parallel with changing the fleet to fossil-free vehicles, optimising the fleet and introducing new business models that will lead to a more resource-efficient use of vehicles. This is a solution that many other municipalities may be interested in looking at and being inspired by, or simply copying. It is also a concept that can be applied to several other areas.

The current situation analysis and socio-economic impact assessment of possible climate measures in Malmö that have been carried out have received much attention and contributed to giving decision-makers and officials in the City of Malmö a knowledge base about possible climate measures in Malmö until 2030 and account for estimated costs and benefits of these measures.
