Common use of Military Spouse Leave Clause in Contracts

Military Spouse Leave. Pursuant to RCW 49.77, up to fifteen (15) business days of leave will be granted to a qualified nurse (nurse who averages 20 or more hours of work per week) whose spouse is on leave from deployment or before and up to deployment during a period of military conflict. Any combination of accrued leave and/or leave without pay may be used, at the nurse’s direction. The nurse must provide the Employer with notice of the nurse’s intention to take leave within five (5) business days of receiving official notice that the nurse’s spouse will be on leave or of an impending call to active duty. Nothing in this section exceeds the rights granted under RCW 49.77.
