Leaves of Absences. For an employee to advance one (1) step on the salary guide at the start of the work year, the employee must have been in an active pay status with the Board during the prior work year for the following period: For ten (10) month employees: 93 days For twelve (12) month employees: 125 days It is understood that “active pay status” is defined as receiving salary payments from the Xxxxxxxxxx Board of Education. Disability payments or paid leave from outside sources do not qualify. Worker’s Compensation leave does qualify.
