Common use of Jury Duty/Court Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Court Leave. The Employer shall grant a leave of absence without loss of seniority to an employee who serves as a Juror or witness in any court proceeding. The Employer shall pay such employee the difference between his/her normal earnings and the payment he/she receives for jury service or court witness excluding payment for travelling, meals or other expenses. The payment of such pay differential by the Employer shall be contingent upon the employee providing the Employer with proof satisfactory to the Employer that the employee has attended the specified legal proceeding and having presented a Court receipt of payment to the Employer.
