Job Site Transportation. Whenever, because of remoteness of parking areas, hazardous road conditions, or security restrictions, it is necessary for the Employer to furnish transportation for employees within the job site to the place of their work, the project management and representative of the Union shall meet to discuss any special conditions surrounding such man-haul operations. When the Employer furnishes such transportation to the employee without cost to him, the equipment shall include seats and protection from the elements and definite pick-up and discharge points shall be determined. If there is more than thirty (30) minutes in time consumed from pick-up points to work site, the employee shall be paid for any time over thirty (30) minutes. If there is more than thirty (30) minutes time consumed from work site to pick-up points, the employee shall be paid for the full amount of time spent in travel from work site to pick-up point at his regular rate.

Job Site Transportation. Whenever, because of the remoteness of parking area, hazardous road conditions, or security restrictions, the Employer is required to furnish transportation for employees with the job site to the place of their work and such transportation is furnished to the employee without cost, the equipment shall include seats and protection from the elements. Definite pickup and discharge points shall be determined. The time to leave from pickup point to work site shall not exceed thirty (30) minutes prior to start of the shift. If there is more than thirty (30) minutes of time consumed from work site at the end of the shift to the point of pickup, the employee shall be paid at his regular wage rate for full round-trip time spent in job site travel from the pickup point to work site and from work site to pick up point shall be approximately equal in time consumed, and it is also the intent that the employee will be required to be at the pickup point only in sufficient time to reach work site at his regularly established starting time. The project management and the Union will meet to establish any special conditions surrounding such man haul operations. If such job site negotiations fail, the procedure for the Settlement of Disputes, as set forth in this Agreement shall prevail. All such equipment shall be operated by Teamsters under this Agreement.

  • Public Transportation Taxi or airport limousine services may be considered when traveling in and around cities or to and from airports when less expensive means of transportation are unavailable or impractical. The actual fare plus a reasonable tip (15-18%) are reimbursable. In the case of a free hotel shuttle to the airport, tips are included in the per diem rates and will not be reimbursed separately.

The Union may raise issues and concerns about the University’s parking program at Joint Labor/Management Committee meetings or at ad hoc Labor Management Committee meetings. The Union shall have a standing seat on the University’s committee(s) that work on transportation and parking issues.
