Increments and Salary Increases. Personnel granted Sabbatical Leave are to be eligible upon their return to a position equivalent to the one they left, where available and upon their return are to receive any increase in salary resulting from a revised schedule which they would have received had they not taken Sabbatical Leave, providing only that the time of Sabbatical Leave shall not be taken into consideration when computing experience allowance for salary purposes. Sick leave credit shall not be augmented, diminished or lost during the period of leave. The person granted Sabbatical Leave shall guarantee, in writing to the Board that he/she will return to the employ of the Board for a period of at least three years, immediately following the year of the Sabbatical Leave. In the event that the person fails to fulfil this proviso, he/she will guarantee to reimburse the Board for the full amount of salary granted, pro-rated over the said three years. In the event of death during the course of the Sabbatical year, salary will cease as of the day of death and no reimbursement will be required. In the event of death within the ensuing three year period, the balance or reimbursement will not be required. The person granted Sabbatical Leave will be eligible to participate in the Fringe Benefits available to other persons employed by the Board at the rate and on the same terms as apply to those continuing in regular duties.   • Salary Increments The Employer may grant an increment for meritorious service after an Employee has served for a period of twelve (12) months following the day established in Article 25.07 or twelve (12) months following the date of a change in his rate of compensation as established in Articles 25.04, 25.05, or 25.06.

  • Salary Increases During the period of employment as provided in Paragraph 1(b) hereof, the base salary of the Executive shall be reviewed no less frequently than annually by the Board or the Compensation Committee of the Board to determine whether or not the same should be increased in light of the duties and responsibilities of the Executive and the performance thereof, and if it is determined that an increase is merited, such increase shall be promptly put into effect and the base salary of the Executive as so increased shall constitute the base salary of the Executive for purposes of Paragraph 3(a).
