Impact of Leaves. Leaves may impact retirement service credit and benefits. It is the faculty member’s responsibility to check the impact the leave shall have on his/her retirement service credit and benefits.

Impact of Leaves. 10.5.1 Paid leave hours shall count towards eligibility for benefits. Employees who are otherwise eligible for benefits who go on unpaid leave and retain their employee/employer relationship will remain eligible for benefits under conditions allowed by SEBB.
Impact of Leaves. Regular faculty who are on Leave and who teach on a Part-Time (Adjunct) basis during the Leave may schedule paid office hours according to the provisions of Article 18J.4-6.

  • Commencement of Leave Parental leave must commence no later than the first anniversary date of the birth or adoption of the child or of the date on which the child comes into the actual care and custody of the employee. The employee will decide when his or her parental leave is to commence.

  • Use of Leave An employee does not need to use this leave entitlement in one block. Leave can be taken intermittently or on a reduced leave schedule when medically necessary. Employees must make reasonable efforts to schedule leave for planned medical treatment so as not to unduly disrupt the employer’s operations. Leave due to qualifying exigencies may also be taken on an intermittent basis.

  • General Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee requesting leave for an emergency or other unusual circumstances. A leave of absence may also be granted for any other reason in which case approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. All requests and approvals for leave shall be in writing. Upon request, the Employer will give reasons orally for withholding approval.

  • Legal Leave 19.12.1The University shall grant leave of absence with pay to a member of faculty who is called to serve as a juror or a witness in a court of law in a matter in which he/she is not a party or an accused.

  • Terms of Leave This leave shall be granted, in the following instances, for no more than a total of twelve (12) work weeks during the school year, July 1 through June 30.
