Regular Faculty definition

Regular Faculty means all members of the Teaching Faculty holding a Tenure or Tenure- track position in one of the following categories:
Regular Faculty means all full-time faculty employed by Antelope Valley College.
Regular Faculty. An overall unsatisfactory rating may result in one or more of the following:

Examples of Regular Faculty in a sentence

  • Regular Faculty status applies to those persons whose major assignment is the teaching of courses as listed in the university catalog or the performance of professional librarian responsibilities.

  • Teaching is defined as the responsibility for the research, design, preparation, coordination, delivery, grading, evaluation, assessment and supervision of scheduled curriculum course content, and, for Regular Faculty Members, curriculum development.

  • All Regular Faculty Members who meet the qualifications may participate in the early retirement plan.

  • They may be Regular Faculty, defined as a “tenured or tenure track faculty member,” including Probationary Non-Tenured Faculty, defined as a “faculty member who is appointed to a tenure track position and who has not been granted tenure” (APSCUF CBA).

  • Regular Faculty Members will develop in consultation with their appropriate School Chair/Department Head or appropriate Supervisor a professional/course development plan that is mutually acceptable.


More Definitions of Regular Faculty

Regular Faculty means any teacher, counselor, or librarian who is employed by the College in a tenure or tenure track position in accordance with RCW 28B.52.
Regular Faculty or “Tenured Faculty” means a tenured bargaining unit member who is employed in accordance with the provisions of Education Code Subdivision (c) of Section 87608 or Section 87609.
Regular Faculty or “tenured faculty” means a tenured bargaining unit member who is employed in accordance with the provisions of Education Code Subdivision (c) of Section 87608 or Section 87609.
Regular Faculty means a faculty member with a tenure or non-tenure appointment.
Regular Faculty. MEMBER: a member of the academic staff, holding a regular appointment as defined In article 17, who is In the bargaining unit as described In article 3.
Regular Faculty means tenure track or tenured faculty appointed within the Department. It should be noted that other faculty may serve in “regular faculty” capacities on guidance committees if they have been explicitly approved by the Graduate School to do so. (see Section 6.2.1. for details).
Regular Faculty in this policy, means a faculty member who is scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week for a period of at least four and one-half (4 ½) months and is not employed in a position for which the employee is required to be a student as a condition of the employment.
