The Host Organisation will be responsible for: providing suitably qualified and experienced person as contact point for the Student whilst undertaking the Internship; ensuring that the activities undertaken by the Student on the Internship and the level of supervision of the Student is appropriate, having regard to the Student’s skills and level of experience; providing the Student with an orientation (including in relation to occupational health and safety) prior to or at the start of the Internship; providing the Student with all policies and procedures of the Host Organisation relevant to the undertaking of the Internship; maintaining a safe system of work and all certificates, licences and approvals required by applicable law, Australian Standards or Codes of Practice; providing the Student with a safe and well-supported Internship environment that is compliant with anti-discrimination laws; making available to the Student such resources, facilities and materials as reasonably required to undertake the Internship activities; promptly reporting any issues or problems with the Internship to the University’s Internship Coordinator (set out in Item 1 of the Schedule); and submitting a feedback form to the Internship Co-ordinator at completion of the internship for assistance with student assessment. The Host Organisation will maintain Public Liability insurance and indemnify the University and the Student for any negligent act or omission by its employees, agents or contractors that results in any injury, loss or damage to the Student. The Host Organisation acknowledges that it has received and read the Internship Program Guidelines provided by the University and will ensure that it conducts the Internship in accordance with those Guidelines. The Host Organisation releases the Student and the University from all claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from the Host Organisation’s use of or reliance on the Student’s Internship Research Project report.

  • Contractor Responsibilities 19.1. Contractor shall perform national criminal history checks for Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and 10-panel drug screening tests on all prospective employees performing work under this RFP or coming onto a CMHA property and any resulting contract and provide summaries of the results to the Authority if requested. For the purposes of this section, the term “employees” includes contractor. Prospective employees whose criminal background check discloses a misdemeanor or felony involving crimes of moral turpitude, sexual offenses or harm to persons or property shall not be employed to perform work under this RFP or any resulting contract. Contractor is required to perform drug screening of all employees and to ensure acceptable test results. Criminal history and drug screening checks will be completed at the sole expense of the contractor. Any employee of the Contractor suspected of being under the influence of drugs and or alcohol will be reported to the appropriate personnel at CMHA and/or other local law enforcement. If the employee is determined to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol in any form or manner, or believed by proper authority to be dealing in illicit sale of alcohol or drugs they will be removed and shall not be allowed to return to any job site on the Authority’s property. The Contractor’s contract may be suspended and/or terminated should such a situation occur or if the Contractor fails to submit results pursuant to this section.
