– Heavy Storm Sewer Cleaning Sample Clauses

– Heavy Storm Sewer Cleaning. Heavy Storm Sewer Cleaning may be administered for storm sewers containing obstructions which were unable to be removed via the General Flush which accompanied the Initial CCTV Inspection (e.g., roots, mineral deposits, hardened grease deposits, etc.). All obstacles (except intruding break-in connections) must be removed under this bid item; this includes all loose materials as well as all deposits, roots, etc. This will require an unlimited number of passes by high velocity hydro-cleaning equipment. Mechanical or hydraulic cutters may also be employed at no additional cost. In the event that hydraulic or mechanical cutting, grinding, etc. is needed to perform the services in this bid item, the Contractor shall assume full responsibility for ensuring the safety and integrity of the storm sewer pipe. This will require the use of remote CCTV equipment to monitor the Work progress and ensure that the storm sewer and all lateral connections are undamaged by the cutting process. The Contractor shall replace any storm sewer pipe damaged in this fashion via point repair at no additional cost. The Contractor may utilize structural grout in lieu of a point repair solely at the direction/approval of the MSD PM.
