Common use of General Leaves of Absence Clause in Contracts

General Leaves of Absence. When no other leaves are available, a leave of absence may be granted to an employee on a paid or unpaid basis at any time upon any terms acceptable to the Office and the employee. An employee shall provide at least thirty (30) days advance request for an unpaid leave of absence. The Office shall respond to the request within two (2) weeks. Employees on an approved leave of absence will exhaust all available Compensatory Time, Personal Business, Personal Necessity and Vacation leave before going into an unpaid leave status.
