Extra Duty Trips. All “extra duty” trips will be posted in the transportation office, the board office and electronically for at least 48 hours prior to assigning them to bus drivers and bus aides (when required) on a rotating basis of seniority unless last minute changes to athletic runs are necessary. Should the driver / aide with the longest seniority deny the trip, it will be offered to the next senior driver until the position is filled. If a driver / aide does not respond to a posting within the first 48 hours it is posted, he/she will not be considered for the trip.

Extra Duty Trips. This scope of work shall be as needed and shall consist of student trips requests and any other summer work associated with transportation such as washing buses, last minute shuttles/transfers and other driving assignments.
Extra Duty Trips. 40 Transportation specialists will not be allowed to bid on or accept daily trips that interfere with 41 their regularly assigned duties unless it provides a minimum gain of two (2) hours. 42 43 In the event an extra trip departs with students and returns more than two (2) hours earlier than 44 the minimum time indicated on the bid sheet, the transportation specialist will be paid the 45 minimum hours indicated on the bid sheet and be required to work the time necessary to balance 46 the pay for work requirements of the district or the transportation specialist will be paid for the 47 actual time of the trip and not be required to work the extra time.
Extra Duty Trips. In order to reduce costs to the district, any coach may first be allowed to drive the bus if he/she is also coaching that sport for that season. Once the coaches are identified who will be driving for the season, the remaining dates will be available for extra-duty trips to the bus drivers. The Transportation Manager will seek volunteers for extra trips. This may be at the “refresher course” or prior to each sports season. Volunteers will then be placed on a rotation list. Extra trips will then be assigned for the list order with scheduling to occur one month at a time. Once the monthly list is posted, a driver may request to the Transportation Manager any changes in his/her driving schedule. The Transportation Manger must approve all requests before any changes may occur. If the need for the driver is cancelled for that day, the rotation continues with the next driver scheduled for the following event. Pre-K and summer driving will be posted in the bus garage for all individuals wishing to drive. Any new route openings will be posted in the bus garage for 10 days for individuals to apply. All routes will be assigned by the Superintendent and the Transportation Manager. The Board shall pay the driver Eleven and 00/100 Dollars ($11.00) per hour for extra driving trips.

  • Extra Trips A. Field trips (extra trips) shall be provided by rotation on a list composed of regular drivers who volunteer in descending order of classification seniority (defined in Article 39).

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • DUTY TRAVEL 40.01 An employee who is authorized to travel on Employer business will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred.

  • Off-Duty Conduct 25.1 The off-duty activities of an employee may not be grounds for disciplinary action unless said activities are a conflict of interest as set forth in RCW 42.52 or a nexus exists between the employee’s activities and employment. Employees shall report all arrests and any court-imposed sanctions or conditions that affect their ability to perform assigned duties to their Appointing Authority within twenty-four (24) hours or prior to their scheduled work shift, whichever occurs first.

  • Transit Traffic The following rates will apply:

  • Injured on Duty Pay An employee who, in the ordinary course of employment, while acting in a reasonable and prudent manner and in compliance with the established rules and procedures of the Appointing Authority, incurs a disabling injury stemming from the aggressive and/or intentional and overt act of a person, or which is incurred while attempting to apprehend or take into custody such person, shall receive compensation in an amount equal to the difference between the employee's regular rate of pay and benefits paid under Workers' Compensation, without deduction from the employee's accrued sick leave. Such compensation shall not exceed an amount equal to two hundred forty (240) times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay per disabling injury.

  • Special Duty Pay (A) High Work Differential. When an employee is required to perform work more than twenty (20) feet directly above the ground or water and use of safety ropes, scaffolds, boatswain chairs or other similar safety devices are required for support, the employee shall receive a high work differential. Rate: One dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.

  • Off Duty day - Except where the provisions of 10.3.1 apply, if a public holiday, other than Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day, falls on a rostered employee's off duty day (such off duty day not being a Saturday or a Sunday) the employee shall be granted an additional day's leave at a later date convenient to the Employer.
