Emergency / Funeral Leave. In case of death of a member of an employee's immediate family (legal spouse, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and in-laws and step family to the same degree of relationship), the District shall grant five (5) scheduled work days (including and/or adjoining the day of the funeral) off with pay, provided the employee attends the funeral. Leave beyond the initial five (5) days is subject to approval by the building principal and Superintendent and will be deducted from sick leave. In addition, an employee shall be allowed up to three (3) days per year for deaths of other individuals that are not listed in the immediate family listed above. All leave is subject to approval by the building principal and Superintendent and will be deducted from sick leave.

Emergency / Funeral Leave. The HSO shall be granted emergency fu- neral leave in the event of a death of a HSO’s mother-in-law or father- in-law, provided the HSO actually attends the funeral. Emergency funeral leave provides pay for three (3) workdays for the number of regularly scheduled hours for the HSO. Absences in ad- dition to the three (3) workdays of emergency funeral leave may be charged to vacation.
Emergency / Funeral Leave. 13.1 Emergency/funeral leave may be granted to regular full-time City employees by the employee's immediate supervisor. To be eligible for emergency/funeral leave an employee must furnish adequate proof that a death has occurred within the employee's immediate family or that a member of the immediate family suffers from a debilitating personal illness or accidental bodily injury such that his/her physical care requires the continuous presence of the employee. The term "immediate family" shall include the spouse, adult child, mother, father, brother, sister of the employee, or grandmother or grandfather of the employee or spouse, mother-in-law or father-in-law. Relatives of the employees other than those above-listed shall not be considered members of the immediate family for the purposes of this policy, except that an employee may receive funeral leave benefits in the event of the death of his/her child.

Emergency funeral leave provides pay for three (3) workdays for the number of regularly scheduled hours for the housestaff officer. Absences in addition to the three (3) workdays of emergency funeral leave may be charged to vacation.

  • Funeral Leave Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.

  • Emergency Services Leave 6.17.1 Subject to operational requirements, paid leave of absence shall be granted by the Employer to an Employee who is an active volunteer member of State Emergency Service, St Xxxx Ambulance Brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Xxxx Fire Brigades, Volunteer Marine Rescue Services Groups or FESA Units, in order to allow for attendances at emergencies as declared by the recognised authority.
