Examples of Funeral Leave in a sentence
An employee will be allowed three (3) consecutive working days of Funeral Leave with pay in the event of a death in his immediate family; namely father, mother, step- father, step-mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, spouse (including established civil unions), son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, brother and sister.
An employee with a Temporary appointment is eligible only for Excused Absences; an employee with a Provisional appointment is eligible only for absences classified as Excused Absence, Jury Duty, or Funeral Leave.
Requests to use sick leave credits for a death in the employee's immediate family shall be in accordance with the Funeral Leave section of the Leaves of Absence Article.
Both parties hereby waive any right to a jury trial and consent to a trial to the court.
The JSO will not unreasonably deny a request for Bereavement or Funeral Leave subject to the provisions of this Article.
