Examples of Funeral Leave in a sentence
Funeral Leave is in addition to and separate from vacation or sick leave provided in this Resolution.
Basic workweeks shall be those described in this Subsection and shall also include time off due to Jury Duty and Witness Duty as set out in Section 12.01, and Funeral Leave as set out in Section 12.02, provided the employee has actual hours worked in the week.
The City Manager may approve Funeral Leave for relatives other than those listed above (e.g. aunt or uncle).
Funeral Leave: In the case of death occurring in the employee's immediate family requiring his/her absence during a duty period, the employee shall be granted a leave of absence with pay for such period not to exceed five (5) consecutive work days as will be necessary in the particular circumstances, one day of which shall be the day of the funeral.
Employees of the Fire Department working a 24/48 hour shift schedule are eligible for one shift of Funeral Leave unless additional leave is approved by the City Manager.
