Common use of EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE FUND Clause in Contracts

EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE FUND. 23.01 The Employer shall contribute two and a half cents ($0.025) per hours worked per employee to the Union’s Education and Assistance Fund in order to enable the Union to provide assistance to its members in exercising their right to work and have access to job sites and to educate and instruct specific members in labour relations as it pertains to the work and welfare of the bargaining unit. Contributions to the Fund will be remitted to the Union on a monthly basis together with the Union dues remittance and will begin on April 1st.
