Earthing terminations and Protective Conductors. All earthing terminations and protective conductors required for providing the earthing system requirements for the local authority side of the installation shall be provided by the Contracting Body. This will generally take the format of a separate dedicated earth terminal block to the baseboard of each column and the earthing terminals of all equipment shall be bonded separately to this terminal block. The whole of the installation must be effectively earthed in accordance with the British Standard Code of Practice B.S. 7430 and the current edition of the IEE Regulations. The dedicated earth block shall be supplied irrespective of any other earth terminals supplied within the cut-out or column and shall be connected to the incoming supply earth terminal and the main earthing conductor, having an equivalent cross sectional area of the incoming phase conductor unless otherwise agreed with the Nominated Officer. Earthing and protective conductors shall comply in all respects with the requirements of the IEE Regulations. Refer to Earthing Table 1 below.
