Duration of the Order. You may make an oral stop payment order which will lapse in 14 calendar days unless confirmed in writing within that time. Stop payments that are confirmed in writing or through Online Banking are effective for 180 days and may be renewed in writing or through Online Banking from time to time. We do not have to notify you when a stop payment order expires. Should the payment be presented during the 180 day period from the date of the call, we will return payment and the stop will no longer be valid.
