Common use of Day Off Clause in Contracts

Day Off. Day-off schedules will be established according to seniority, wherever this does not restrict or hamper operations. The Company will not be unreasonable in the application of this provision. Assignment of Sunday, holiday and day-off work on basis of seniority shall be mutually agreed upon as to each center. Day off schedules in the Package classification will be established by Center. Day off schedule for all classifications shall be posted by Thursday evening of the preceding week. Seniority employees who are called in on day off or from layoff shall be paid from regular starting time. This shall not apply in cases where abuses have been called to the attention of the Union by the Company.
