Continued Stay Review. Network and Out-of-Network Services The medical progress of patients is reviewed to identify the continued Medical Necessity and Appropriateness of the Inpatient stay. If a Member elects to continue to receive Inpatient Services after receipt of written notification from the Plan that such level of care is no longer Medically Necessary and Appropriate, the Member will be financially responsible for the full amount of the Provider’s charges from the date appearing on the written notification.

Continued Stay Review. The medical progress of patients is reviewed to identify the continued Medical Necessity and Appropriateness of the Inpatient stay. Continued Stay Review. Each approved admission of a Member is contemplated to last a particular number of days. Accordingly, each admission will be assigned a specific number of days at the time of approval of the admission. Additional days are subject to a Continued Stay Review and approval by CBA. Clinician will cooperate with other Network Providers in connection with a Continued Stay Review, including providing any necessary clinical information relating to a Member’s proposed continued stay.
Continued Stay Review the review that must be obtained by a Member (or the Member’s Authorized Representative) regarding an extension of an Admission to determine if an Admission for longer than the time that was originally Preauthorized is Medically Necessary. The Continued Stay Review process is outlined in Article III. Contract: the Master Group Contract between the Corporation and the Employer including the Employer Application, Benefits Checklist, Plan of Benefits and all endorsements, amendments, riders or addenda. Copayment: the amount, if any, specified on the Schedule of Benefits that the Member must pay directly to the Provider each time the Member receives Benefits. Corporation: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina. Covered Expenses: the amount payable by the Corporation for Benefits. The amount of Covered Expenses payable for Benefits is determined as set forth in this Plan of Benefits and at the percentages set forth on the Schedule of Benefits. Covered Expenses are subject to the limitations and requirements set forth in this Plan of Benefits and on the Schedule of Benefits. Covered Expenses will not exceed the Allowable Charge. Credit(s): rebates and/or other amounts which may be received by the Corporation from drug manufacturers, a Pharmacy Benefit Manager and/or another third party. Credits are not payable to Members and will be retained by the Corporation to help stabilize overall rates and to offset expenses. Reimbursements to a Participating Pharmacy or discounted prices charged at pharmacies are not affected by these Credits. Any Coinsurance or Copayment that a Member must pay for Prescription Drugs or Specialty Drugs does not change due to receipt of any Credit by the Corporation. Custodial Care: non-skilled services that are primarily for the purpose of assisting an individual with daily living activities or personal needs (e.g., bathing, dressing and/or eating), which is not specific therapy for any illness or injury.   • Independent Review Contractor shall provide the Secretary of ADS/CIO an independent expert review of any Agency recommendation for any information technology activity when its total cost is $1,000,000.00 or greater or when CIO requires one. The State has identified two sub-categories for Independent Reviews, Standard and Complex. The State will identify in the SOW RFP the sub-category they are seeking. State shall not consider bids greater than the maximum value indicated below for this category. Standard Independent Review $25,000 Maximum Complex Independent Review $50,000 Maximum Per Vermont statute 3 V.S.A. 2222, The Secretary of Administration shall obtain independent expert review of any recommendation for any information technology initiated after July 1, 1996, as information technology activity is defined by subdivision (a) (10), when its total cost is $1,000,000 or greater or when required by the State Chief Information Officer. Documentation of this independent review shall be included when plans are submitted for review pursuant to subdivisions (a)(9) and (10) of this section. The independent review shall include: • An acquisition cost assessment • A technology architecture review • An implementation plan assessment • A cost analysis and model for benefit analysis • A procurement negotiation advisory services contract • An impact analysis on net operating costs for the agency carrying out the activity In addition, from time to time special reviews of the advisability and feasibility of certain types of IT strategies may be required. Following are Requirements and Capabilities for this Service: • Identify acquisition and lifecycle costs; • Assess wide area network (WAN) and/or local area network (LAN) impact; • Assess risks and/or review technical risk assessments of an IT project including security, data classification(s), subsystem designs, architectures, and computer systems in terms of their impact on costs, benefits, schedule and technical performance; • Assess, evaluate and critically review implementation plans, e.g.: • Adequacy of support for conversion and implementation activities • Adequacy of department and partner staff to provide Project Management • Adequacy of planned testing procedures • Acceptance/readiness of staff • Schedule soundness • Adequacy of training pre and post project • Assess proposed technical architecture to validate conformance to the State’s “strategic direction.” • Insure system use toolsets and strategies are consistent with State Chief Information Officer (CIO) policies, including security and digital records management; • Assess the architecture of the proposed hardware and software with regard to security and systems integration with other applications within the Department, and within the Agency, and existing or planned Enterprise Applications; • Perform cost and schedule risk assessments to support various alternatives to meet mission need, recommend alternative courses of action when one or more interdependent segment(s) or phase(s) experience a delay, and recommend opportunities for new technology insertions; • Assess the architecture of the proposed hardware and software with regard to the state of the art in this technology. • Assess a project’s backup/recovery strategy and the project’s disaster recovery plans for adequacy and conformance to State policy. • Evaluate the ability of a proposed solution to meet the needs for which the solution has been proposed, define the ability of the operational and user staff to integrate this solution into their work.

  • Engagement of Independent Review Organization Within 60 days after the Effective Date, Xx. Xxxxxx shall engage an individual or entity, such as an accounting, auditing, or consulting firm (hereinafter “Independent Review Organization” or “IRO”), to perform the reviews listed in this Section III.C. The applicable requirements relating to the IRO are outlined in Appendix A to this IA, which is incorporated by reference.‌

  • Log Reviews All systems processing and/or storing PHI COUNTY discloses to 11 CONTRACTOR or CONTRACTOR creates, receives, maintains, or transmits on behalf of COUNTY 12 must have a routine procedure in place to review system logs for unauthorized access.

  • Training Period The training provided for in this article shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible. Any such training outside of working hours shall be considered voluntary unless at the request of the Employer, in which case time devoted to training shall be considered as time worked.

  • Office of Inspector General Investigative Findings Expert Review In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 531.102(m-1)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Independent Investigation Subscriber, in making the decision to purchase the Units, has relied upon an independent investigation of the Company and has not relied upon any information or representations made by any third parties or upon any oral or written representations or assurances from the Company, its officers, directors or employees or any other representatives or agents of the Company, other than as set forth in this Agreement. Subscriber is familiar with the business, operations and financial condition of the Company and has had an opportunity to ask questions of, and receive answers from the Company’s officers and directors concerning the Company and the terms and conditions of the offering of the Units and has had full access to such other information concerning the Company as Subscriber has requested.   • Health Examination 27-1 When the District determines that a MBU's health condition (mental or physical) may be impairing his/her job performance, the immediate supervisor, site administrator, or Regional Assistant Superintendent, with the concurrence of the Human Resources Department may, with just cause, direct the MBU to have a health examination at District expense. The MBU will be given a copy of the directive which will state the reason(s) for such examination. Following the examination, results will be sent by the Human Resources Department to the MBU and immediate supervisor. All communication which results from the implementation of this Article shall be handled in a confidential manner. ARTICLE TWENTY-EIGHT
