Each employee is expected to appear at his work station ready to commence at the hour laid down: If employees are kept in their work area due to a shortage in the accounts, they shall be paid overtime at straight-time rates for each fifteen (15) minute period or part thereof after the first five (5) minute period has elapsed after the end of the scheduled shift. Lunch or Meal Periods The Employer shall grant a one-half hour paid meal period to hourly rated employees in the bargaining unit. ARTICLE

  • Reduction of Hours The Employer shall not reduce the weekly hours of work of an employee for the purpose of replacing such hours with another employee at a lower hourly rate of pay.

  • Calculation of Overtime If the overtime work has been carried out before as well as after the regular working hours during a certain day, the overtime periods shall be added together. Only full half hours are included in the calculation.

  • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • Standard Workweek Except as noted below the standard workweek for full-time employees consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday each week.
