ARTICLE XIII - OVERTIME. In the event an Employee is called into duty for any reason other than his scheduled tour of duty, he shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at the rate of time and one half (1½) his normal rate of pay with a minimum call-out time of three (3) hours. It is recognized that Employees may be required to report in advance of the tour starting time and for the purpose of report making at the end of a tour, to remain at the termination of a tour. In accordance with this recognition, no overtime shall be paid for a fifteen (15) minute period prior to the commencement of a tour or for a fifteen (15) minute period at the termination of a tour, but in the event an employee is required to report earlier than fifteen (15) minutes prior to the commencement of a tour or to remain beyond fifteen (15) minutes after the end of a tour, the Employee shall be paid the overtime rate for all time worked in the excess of the normal hours of work per day.
ARTICLE XIII - OVERTIME. A. In accordance with the Ordinance fixing salaries and compensation to be paid to the officers of the Police Department, overtime shall be paid for any time worked over the Police Officers regular schedule, excluding Court Time. The hourly rate of overtime shall be calculated by dividing the Police Officers annual salary by 2080 hours and multiplying the results by one and one-half (1 ½).

  • Overtime Provisions (a) Time worked as an extension to the regular scheduled shift or time worked in a bi-weekly pay period that is in excess of seventy-five (75) hours shall be compensated at a rate of one and one-half times (1½ x) the Nurse’s regular hourly rate for the overtime worked. A Nurse who works in excess of four (4) hours overtime in any one day shall be compensated at a rate of two times (2 x) the Nurse’s regular hourly rate for the overtime worked.

  • Allocation of Overtime Subject to the operational requirements of the service, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:

  • Equalization of Overtime To the extent possible, consistent with current practice, voluntary overtime opportunities shall be distributed equally among qualified volunteers with similar skills and duties . The employer will attempt to meet overtime needs by first soliciting volunteers prior to making assignments . It is understood that soliciting volunteers may not be appropriate in emergency situations (including short- notice absences) . Section Six. (a) Effective 7/1/95, employees who are assigned to a fixed duty station and have previously been receiving portal to portal pay, shall have the benefit of counting their travel time to and from the fixed duty station limited to one-half (1/2) hour each way.

  • Mandatory Overtime Mandatory overtime shall be scheduled 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled event (or as soon as possible after the overtime is known to management.) If there are unforeseen circumstances, the two week requirement will not apply. Where the notice of mandatory overtime is not provided in that time frame, the hours worked will be paid at twice the regular rate. If a member has checked with the Director of Public Safety or designee about a certain date as being a mandatory day, and received a negative answer, that employee shall be waived from any mandatory obligation of the day inquired about. If a staff member has extenuating circumstances occurring on a mandatory overtime day, they may request a release from the mandatory overtime day from the Director of Public Safety, or designee. The employee shall meet with the Director of Public Safety, or designee, to discuss the extenuating circumstance. The Director of Public Safety, or designee, shall respond to the staff member’s request as soon as possible.

  • General Leave Provisions 21.1.1 Except where explicitly noted in Article 00 Xxxxx Xxxxx, the Employer may implement, modify, or eliminate the leaves of absence as outlined in this Article and consistent with all state and federal leave requirements. The Employer reserves the right to modify its Leave of Absence policies. The Employer will inform the Union of any material and substantial changes in its Leave of Absence policies prior to implementation.

  • Payment of Overtime 5.5.1 Subject to the provisions of this sub-clause, all work performed outside of the ordinary hours of any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, will be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Casual Employees will be entitled to the appropriate all- purpose penalty rates and their 25% casual loading as identified in clause 2.1.2.

  • No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime Employees shall not be required to layoff during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.
