Annual Vacation Shutdown Periods. Vacation periods and pay for 2013 shall be governed by the provisions in the Employer’s 2011 Wage Agreement. Beginning in 2014, there will be the following three vacation shut down periods. The First Regular Vacation Shutdown Period – beginning at the start of the Monday shift preceding the July 4th holiday (or beginning on July 4th if July 4th falls on a Monday) and concluding at the end of the Sunday shift following July 4th (or on July 4th if July 4th falls on Sunday). The Second Regular Vacation Shutdown Period – beginning at the start of the Monday shift preceding Thanksgiving and concluding at the end of the Sunday shift following Thanksgiving. The Third Regular Vacation Shutdown Period – beginning at the start of the Monday shift preceding Christmas Eve (or beginning Christmas Eve if Christmas Eve falls on a Monday) and concluding at the end of the Sunday shift following Christmas Day (or on Christmas Day if Christmas Day falls on Sunday).

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings. After one thousand (1,000) days worked, auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of six percent (6%) of their regular earnings.

  • ANNUAL VACATIONS Vacation entitlement earned during previous employment shall be credited to the employee, and vacations granted shall be in accordance with such previous entitlement (Articles 28.01 and 28.02).

  • Annual Vacation Leave 30.01 An Employee shall not take vacation leave without prior authorization from the Employer.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Splitting of Vacation Periods ‌ Annual vacation for employees with 10 days’ vacation or more shall be granted in one continuous period but may, upon request from the employee, be divided, subject to the approval of the Employer, provided that the following shall apply:

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Annual Vacation Pay Vacation pay shall be paid at the regular hourly rate of the Nurse in effect immediately prior to the Nurse taking vacation.
