Accrued Leave Contribution (Annually). For every FIRE employee who is represented by the Association, the City shall reduce the employee’s vacation balance to 400 hours effective the first pay date in August of each year, or such other date as is established by the City. The value of the accrued but unused vacation that was in excess of the 400- hour balance will be irrevocably contributed to the employee’s Trust account on a pre-tax basis. Payment shall be made at the base pay rate and shall include longevity pay pursuant to section 7.2. The City will provide notice of any change in the annual vacation transfer date no less than 6 months prior to the new transfer date. There shall be no option for FIRE employees to receive any portion of the sick leave or vacation leave accruals in cash in lieu of making contributions to the Trust. The Board agrees to transmit such monies promptly to the Association.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below.
