A summary of existing literature Sample Clauses

A summary of existing literature. The first element will be a summary of existing literature, which will principally be aimed at refining the design of the ASF. The principal areas covered by the summary will be: · families’ needs and experiences of help-seeking. This work will draw on several recent surveys of parents’ needs and experiences to identify: · the level of demand for therapeutic interventions · the types of therapeutic interventions required · experience of using interventions and of their providers · the issues that contribute to barriers to or ease of help-seeking · quality standards and criteria: in the absence of an established literature on effectiveness, we will draw out what we can about quality criteria and families’ requirements relating to features of interventions and their access and delivery · Personal Budgets: although a smaller and newer body of evidence, there has been some research and data collection on Personal Budgets particularly in the context of SEN provision, adult social care and adult mental health. The contractor will review this literature particularly to explore issues relating to the acceptability and benefits of Personal Budgets and their operationalisation by providers, discussing the potential relevance to the ASF · market stimulation and development: the contractor will undertake some high level scoping of this body of evidence and use it to inform the analysis of market dynamics and what is needed to stimulate the market. The contractor will take a pragmatic approach rather than using formal searching and data extraction methods. The summary of relevant literature will form an initial chapter of the first interim report (and likely also of the final summative report, although it will initially standalone as a short paper so that the Department has it at the earliest possible opportunity (March 2014)). The second part of Wave 1 will focus on mapping and analysing therapeutic adoption support services market, anticipated impacts of and preparation for the ASF. It will include two phases.
