Software as a Service definition

Software as a Service or “SaaS” means a licensing delivery model wherein software or other hosted services are licensed on a subscription basis, centrally hosted, and remotely accessed by users.
Software as a Service. (SaaS) means the capability provided to the consumer to use the provider’s applications running on a cloud infrastructure. The applications are accessible from various client devices through a thin-client interface such as a Web browser (e.g., Web-based email) or a program interface. The consumer does not manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure including network, servers, operating systems, storage or even individual application capabilities, with the possible exception of limited user-specific application configuration settings.
Software as a Service means software that is rented, leased or subscribed to from a provider and used at the consumer’s location, including but not limited to applications, systems or programs.

  • Cloud Service Provider (CSP): A company or institution that offers some component of cloud computing to other businesses or individual, typically Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS), as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Software as a Service or “SaaS” means a subscription-based service consisting of the ability to use, and receive support in connection with, the Software in the hosting environment as described in an Order.

Software as a Service and refers to a centralized instance of the Software serving multiple Customers, hosted and operated by ▇▇▇▇ and accessed by Customer remotely.

Software as a Service and “SaaS” mean the industry code 6050b as set forth in Exhibit N, as determined, in the reasonable discretion of the Collateral Manager, as of the date of determination.
Software as a Service means “on-demand software” which is normally supplied by a third-party application service provider and typically uses a software delivery model in which the software and its associated data are centrally hosted on a computer system, which may or may not be owned or managed by the Merchant. Software as Service resources are typically accessed by users or systems via Internet web browsers, but other onsite components or software may be necessary to fully realize a complete and comprehensive solution. Software as a Service is normally charged in a “pay-as-you-go” operational expense model as opposed to a capital expenditure model.
