The Port serves as the hardware termination for line or Trunk Side facilities connected to the Central Office Switch. Each Line Side Port is typically associated with one or more telephone numbers that serve as the Customer's network address.

  • Online Services means Microsoft-hosted services to which Customer subscribes under this Agreement. It does not include software and services provided under separate license terms.

  • TPS means a third party supplier which is authorized by law to sell electric service to a customer using the transmission or distribution system of Duke Energy Progress.

  • Central Office Switch (CO means the switching entity within the public switched Telecommunications network, including but not limited to:

  • public telecommunications network means the public telecommunications infrastructure which enables signals to be conveyed between defined network termination points by wire, by microwave, by optical means or by other electromagnetic means;

  • BS means the “British Standard” as issued by the British Standards institution. “A.S.” means the American Standards as issued by the American Standard Institutions and “I.S.” means the “Indian Standards” as issued by the Indian Standards Institutions. Wherever the above-mentioned abbreviations are preferred to, in the specifications and / or work orders, they mean the addition with all amendments current at the date of issue of tender documents of work orders.

  • InterLATA is As Defined in the Act.

  • SDSL or "Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the bi-directional transmission from up to 160 kbps to 2.048 Mbps on a single pair. "VDSL" or "Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the transmission of up to 52 Mbps downstream (from the Central Office to the End User Customer) and up to 2.3 Mbps digital signal upstream (from the End User Customer to the Central Office).
