Proprietary Fund definition

Proprietary Fund means an open-end investment company registered under the Investment Company Act (or any portfolio or series thereof, as the case may be) that is part of one of the fund families sponsored by Legg Mason or its affiliates, including the fund families known as the Legg Mason Partners Funds, the Legg Mason Funds, the Western Asset Funds, the Royce Funds, the Barrett Growth Fund or the Barrett Opportunity Fund.
Proprietary Fund means an open-end investment company registered under the Investment Company Act (or any portfolio or series thereof, as the case may be) that is part of one of the fund families sponsored by Legg Mason or its affiliates.
Proprietary Fund means money market mutual funds having a rating from each Rating Agency in the highest investment category granted by each Rating Agency, including funds for which the Indenture Trustee or the Owner Trustee or any of their respective Affiliates is investment manager or advisor.

  • Proprietary Account means (1) a securities investment or trading account held in the name of an Employee or any of his or her Family Members, or of which that Employee or any of his or her Family Members has Beneficial Ownership, or (2) a proprietary investment or trading account maintained for the Firm or its Employees, except that the term “Proprietary Account” does not include any such account to which the Firm serves as investment adviser.
