Medical Education Expenses definition

Medical Education Expenses means, with respect to a Product, all Out-of-Pocket Costs specifically incurred to educate health care professionals licensed to practice in one or more jurisdictions in the Territory with respect to the Product through any means not covered as an Advertising and Marketing Research Expense, but including articles appearing in journals, newspapers, magazines, or other media; seminars, scientific exhibits, and conventions; and symposia, advisory boards, and opinion leader development activities; medical science liaison and medical affairs activities, and education grant programs.
Medical Education Expenses means the actual costs and expenses incurred by a Party or for its account specifically attributable to [ * ] to the extent generally consistent with the then-current Commercialization Plan and Commercialization Budget, including but not limited to [ * ]. "Net Sales" means the amount invoiced by SangStat or its Affiliates for sales or other commercial disposition of Licensed Product to a Third Party less deductions for (a) [ * ] and (b) [ * ]. "Ongoing Phase II/III Clinical Trial" means the Phase II/III clinical trial for ABX-CBL ABX-CB-9906 entitled "A Phase II/III, Multicenter, Open Label, Randomized Clinical Trial evaluating ABX-CBL when compared to AtgamÒ as Second Line Therapy in Patients with Steroid Resistant Acute Graft versus Host Disease" as amended from time to time, being conducted by Abgenix in the United States as of the Effective Date. "Other Operating Income/Expense" means other operating income or expense from or to Third Parties which is not part of the primary business activity of the Collaboration, but is considered and approved by the Steering Committee (or its designee) as income or expense for purposes of the Collaboration and is limited to the following: [ * ] - any other expense approved by Steering Committee.

  • Medical Expenses means those expenses that an Insured Person has necessarily and actually incurred for medical treatment on account of Illness or Accident on the advice of a Medical Practitioner, as long as these are no more than would have been payable if the Insured Person had not been insured and no more than other hospitals or doctors in the same locality would have charged for the same medical treatment.

  • Direct medical education costs means costs directly associated with the medical education of interns and residents or other medical education programs, such as a nursing education program or allied health programs, conducted in an outpatient setting, that qualify for payment as medical education costs under the Medicare program. The amount of direct medical education costs is determined from the hospital base-year cost reports and is inflated in determining the direct medical education rate.

  • Post-secondary education costs means tuition and other fees associated with obtaining credit from a post-secondary educational institution.

  • Qualified higher education expenses means qualified higher education expenses as defined in section 529 of the internal revenue code.

  • Medical Expense means an expense incurred at the time a past member or his or her health reimbursement account dependent is furnished the medical care or service. To be considered a medical expense under this act, the expense shall meet all of the following conditions:

  • primary education means education offered in years numbered 1 to 7, both inclusive.

  • Settlement Administration Expenses means the Settlement Administrator’s fee, and the expenses incurred by the Settlement Administrator in providing Notice, processing claims, exclusions, and objections, responding to inquiries from members of the Settlement Class, mailing checks for Approved Claims, and related services, paying taxes and tax expenses related to the Settlement Fund (including all federal, state or local taxes of any kind and interest or penalties thereon, as well as expenses incurred in connection with determining the amount of and paying any taxes owed and expenses related to any tax attorneys and accountants).

  • Notice and Administration Expenses means all costs, fees, and expenses incurred in connection with providing notice to the Settlement Class and the administration of the Settlement, including but not limited to: (i) providing notice of the proposed Settlement by mail, publication, and other means to Settlement Class Members; (ii) receiving and reviewing claims; (iii) applying the Plan of Allocation; (iv) communicating with Persons regarding the proposed Settlement and claims administration process; (v) distributing the proceeds of the Settlement; and (vi) fees related to the Escrow Account and investment of the Settlement Fund.

  • Program Expenses means all UHC’s expenses of administering the Program under the Indenture and the Act and shall include without limiting the generality of the foregoing; salaries, supplies, utilities, labor, materials, office rent, maintenance, furnishings, equipment, machinery and apparatus, including information processing equipment; software, insurance premiums, credit enhancement fees, legal, accounting, management, consulting and banking services and expenses; Fiduciary Expenses; remarketing fees; Costs of Issuance not paid from proceeds of Bonds; and payments to pension, retirement, health and hospitalization funds; and any other expenses required or permitted to be paid by UHC.

  • Management Expenses means the Management Expenses more particularly described in Clause 10.1;

  • Continuing education means planned, organized learning acts designed to maintain, improve, or expand a licensee’s knowledge and skills in order for the licensee to develop new knowledge and skills relevant to the enhancement of practice, education, or theory development to improve the safety and welfare of the public.

  • Vocational education means organized educational programs that are directly related to the preparation of individuals for paid or unpaid employment, or for additional preparation for a career not requiring a baccalaureate or advanced degree.

  • Development Expenses means, with respect to SAIL Developments as well as HOME Developments when the HOME Development is also at least partially financed with a MMRB Loan (as defined in rule Chapter 67-21, F.A.C.), usual and customary operating and financial costs, such as the compliance monitoring fee, the financial monitoring fee, replacement reserves, the servicing fee and the debt service reserves. As it relates to SAIL Developments as well as HOME Developments when the HOME Development is also at least partially financed with a MMRB Loan (as defined in rule Chapter 67-21, F.A.C.) and to the application of Development Cash Flow described in subsections 67-48.010(5) and (6), F.A.C., as it relates to SAIL Developments or in paragraph 67-48.020(3)(b), F.A.C., as it relates to HOME Developments, the term includes only those expenses disclosed in the operating pro forma on an annual basis included in the final credit underwriting report, as approved by the Board, and maximum of 20 percent Developer Fee per year.

  • General education means the compulsory school attendance phase as referred to in section 3 of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996); and

  • Transportation Expense means the cost of Medically Necessary conveyance, personnel, and services or supplies.

  • Individualized Education Program (IEP means a written statement for a student with a disability that is developed, reviewed, and revised in accordance with the Utah Special Education Rules and Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
