Medical Expenses definition

Medical Expenses means those expenses that an Insured Person has necessarily and actually incurred for medical treatment on account of Illness or Accident on the advice of a Medical Practitioner, as long as these are no more than would have been payable if the Insured Person had not been insured and no more than other hospitals or doctors in the same locality would have charged for the same medical treatment.
Medical Expenses means expenses incurred only for the following:

More Definitions of Medical Expenses

Medical Expenses means any expense for medical care within the meaning of the term "medical care" as defined in Code Section 213(d) and the rulings and Treasury regulations thereunder, and not otherwise used by the Participant as a deduction in determining his tax liability under the Code. "Medical Expenses" can be incurred by the Participant, his or her Spouse and his or her Dependents. "Incurred" means, with regard to Medical Expenses, when the Participant is provided with the medical care that gives rise to the Medical Expense and not when the Participant is formally billed or charged for, or pays for, the medical care. A Participant may not be reimbursed for the cost of any medicine or drug that is not "prescribed" within the meaning of Code Section 106(f) or is not insulin. A Participant may not be reimbursed for the cost of other health coverage such as premiums paid under plans maintained by the employer of the Participant's Spouse or individual policies maintained by the Participant or his Spouse or Dependent. A Participant may not be reimbursed for "qualified long-term care services" as defined in Code Section 7702B(c).
Medical Expenses means health and dental expenses and related insurance costs.
Medical Expenses means reasonable expenses necessarily incurred by you within 12 calendar months of sustaining an Injury or Sickness in respect of medical advice or treatment by a Medical Practitioner, nurse, Hospital or physiotherapist including ambulance hire and the cost of medical supplies prescribed by a Medical Practitioner.
Medical Expenses means medical expenses (including those for medicines, Physicians, hospitals, ambulances, medical procedures and services) that in the written opinion of the Insurance Company / Claims Administrator and the treating Physician, expressed at the time of examination or treatment of the Insured, are medically necessary in order to maintain life and/or relieve immediate pain or distress caused by Sickness and/or Disease and/or Accidental Bodily Injury first manifested and/or sustained during the Policy Period.
Medical Expenses means expenses for necessary medical, surgical, x-ray and dental services, ambulance, hospital, professional nursing and funeral services.
Medical Expenses means reasonable medical, surgical, hospital, ambulance and nursing home charges and the cost of other treatment given or prescribed by a legally qualified medical practitioner and also emergency dental charges necessarily incurred as the result of Your Injury, Sickness or death during the Period of Journey.
