Long Term Casual definition

Long Term Casual means an Employee employed as such who has continuous employment with the Employer for more than one (1) year on a regular and systematic basis and there is an expectation that the employment will continue.
Long Term Casual berth means one that is charged at the long-term casual rate and / or not at the annual rates. Long term casual berths may be terminated at will on one (1) days’ notice, notwithstanding clause 7 below.
Long Term Casual means a Member of the bargaining unit hired for a continuous period of employment of ten (10) days to a period of up to one (1) year in the same assignment to replace a Member absent, or on leave of absence. A long term casual shall be paid at the LTO rate based on the grade level of the position for which they are holding.

Examples of Long Term Casual in a sentence

  • All Employees, including Long Term Casual Employees as defined in Clause 1.7 of this agreement are entitled to unpaid parental leave (including maternity, paternity and adoption leave) in accordance with Division 6 – Parental Leave Clause of the federal Workplace Relations Act 1996.

  • If an Employee maintains continuous employment with the Employer they will achieve the status and benefits of a Long Term Casual Employee, as defined in Clause 1.7 of this agreement.
