Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) facilities means:• The University’s (or any entity thereof) ICT facilities and services (i.e. under direct ownership or licence agreement where the University is a party) - including but not limited to: o Infrastructure• The University network (fixed and wireless)• Virtual Private Networko Platforms• Cloud computing services for which the University has a licence/contract to provide use e.g. Office 365, Microsoft Teams• Management Information Systems e.g. SITS (student record system)• Virtual learning environments e.g. Moodle, MMSo Hardware (fixed and mobile devices)• PCs• Laptops• Smartphoneso Software and Apps (mobile applications)• Microsoft Office • ICT facilities provided by the University to Authorised Users through third party providers– including but not necessarily limited to: o All of the items listed above;o External infrastructure including JANET, Eduroam and other or successor networks and systems such as the Internet accessed by means of the University’s IT systems; ando Copyright materials procured under contract or licence, e.g. electronic journals, books and data-sets, e-learning materials.
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) facilities means:• The University’s (or any entity thereof) Information Technology (IT) systems (i.e. under direct ownership or licence agreement where the University is a party) - including but not necessarily limited to:o Personal and mobile (i.e. laptop) computers and tablet/smart devices;o All types of mobile communication devices including those capable of connecting to the Internet and other networks;o Telephones;o Network, i.e. fixed and wireless;o The University intranet;o Electronic mail and other person-to-person or group communication services;o Virtual learning environments, e.g. Moodle, MMS;o Software;o Hardware;o (Recorded) information;o Data.• Information Technology (IT) systems provided by the University to Authorised Users through third party providers – including but not necessarily limited to:o All of the items listed above;o External resources including JANET, Eduroam and other or successor networks and systems such as the Internet accessed by means of the University’s IT systems;o External “Cloud” computing providers;o Copyright materials procured under contract or licence, e.g. electronic journals, books and data-sets, e-learning materials.

  • Information Systems means all computer hardware, databases and data storage systems, computer, data, database and communications networks (other than the Internet), architecture interfaces and firewalls (whether for data, voice, video or other media access, transmission or reception) and other apparatus used to create, store, transmit, exchange or receive information in any form.

  • Electronic and Information Resources Accessibility Standards means the accessibility standards for electronic and information resources contained in 1 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 213.

  • public communications network means an electronic communications network used wholly or mainly for the provision of electronic communications services available to the public which support the transfer of information between network termination points;

  • Confidential communication means a communication not intended to be disclosed to third persons other than those to whom disclosure is in furtherance of the rendition of professional legal services to the client or those reasonably necessary for the transmission of the communication.
