Environmental Credit definition

Environmental Credit has the meaning set out in Appendix 2D [Energy];
Environmental Credit means any income, credit, right, benefit or advantage relating to environmental matters including type and level of emissions, means of production of Energy, input sources and compliance with any environmental laws, regulations, rules or orders;

  • To the extent not prohibited by law, Company shall have the sole and exclusive right to use the electric energy purchased hereunder to meet RPS and any Environmental Credit shall be the property of Company; provided, however, that such Environmental Credits shall be to the benefit of Company's ratepayers in that the value must be credited "above the line".

  • Other Forms of Environmental Credit Projects may generate other forms of GHG-related environmental credits, such as renewable energy certificates (RECs), though GHG emission reductions and removals presented for VCU issuance shall not also be recognized as another form of GHG-related environmental credit.


More Definitions of Environmental Credit

Environmental Credit means any environmental credit, offset, abatement, or other benefit associated with this Contract, the production facility, plantations and/or the Biodiesel and its output allocated, assigned or otherwise awarded by any governmental or international agency to Hawaiian Electric or Seller based in whole or in part on the fact that the Production Facility and/or any part of the Production Facility is a non-fossil fuel production facility and/or generation facility and/or that Seller produces non-fossil fuel. Such Environmental Credits shall include, but not be limited to, emissions credits, the Alternative Fuels Blenders Tax Credit, any other environmentally related credits and any renewable energy credits
