Employee of the University definition

Employee of the University means any one or more of the officers or employees of the University while acting within the scope of their office or employment, and shall include (a) any one or more of the duly elected members of the Board of Regents or any one or more of the members of any duly constituted University governing, extension or advisory board, commission or committee when they are acting in their official capacity, and (b) any volunteer worker for the University when acting within the scope of their volunteer work; provided, however, employee shall not be construed to include any person or entity deemed to be an independent contractor of the University.
