Education records definition

Education records means an education record as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and its implementing regulations, 20 USC Section 1232g and 34 CFR Part 99, respectively.
Education records means records, files, documents and other materials that: (a) contain information directly related to a student; and (b) are maintained by the District, or by a party acting for the District such as Contractor.
Education records means the type of records covered under the definition of "education records" set forth in the regulations implementing the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. See Appendix.

Education records or “educational records” means those official records, files, and data directly related to a student and maintained by the school or local education agency, including but not limited to records encompassing all the material kept in the student’s cumulative folder such as general identifying data, records of attendance and of academic work completed, records of achievement and results of evaluative tests, health data, disciplinary status, test protocols, and individualized education programs.
