Accident only definition

Accident only means, for the purposes of this regulation, coverage for death, dismemberment, disability, or hospital and medical care caused by or necessitated as the result of accident or specified kinds of accident. “Accident Only” policies cannot include 'sickness' or 'wellness' benefits. If additional benefits are provided they must be fully disclosed and properly labeled.

Examples of Accident only in a sentence

  • If more than one Deductible is specified and is applicable to loss under this Coverage from any One Accident, only one Deductible shall be applied to this Coverage and that shall be the largest of the applicable Deductibles.

  • If more than one Loss is sustained as the result of one Covered Diving Accident, only one amount, the largest, will be payable.

  • Table of Losses Life 100% Both Hands or Both Feet 100% Sight of Both Eyes 100% One Hand and One Foot 100% Either Hand or Foot and Sight of One Eye 100% Either Hand or Foot 50% Sight of One Eye 50% Thumb and Index Finger of Same Hand 50% If more than one Loss is sustained by You as a result of the same Accident, only one amount, the largest applicable to the Losses incurred, will be paid.

  • If more than one of such specified Losses shall result from the same Accident, only one amount, the largest, shall be paid.

  • If the Declaration Page indicates that you have paid the required Premium for this Benefit than this Policy will provide Accident only coverage for the Pet(s) named on the Declarations Page for this Coverage.

  • If more than one of such specified losses shall result from the same Accident, only one amount, the largest, shall be paid.

Related to Accident only

  • Accident/Accidental means an event or incident that occurs which is unforeseen and unexpected which resulted directly in the death or injury of the Person Covered.

  • Accident pay means a weekly payment of an amount being the difference between the weekly amount of compensation paid to the Employee pursuant to the relevant workers compensation legislation and the Employee's appropriate 36 hour rate prescribed in Appendix B of this Agreement (pro-rata for part time and casual Employees).
