Vacancies and notification. No new teacher shall be employed by the district while there is available, on unrequested leave, a teacher who is properly licensed to fill such vacancy, unless the teacher fails to advise the school board of their desire to accept the position within 15 days of the date of notification to the teacher by the school district that a position is available to that teacher on unrequested leave. It is the teacher’s responsibility to provide up-to-date contact information to the school district.

Vacancies and notification. No teacher shall be hired by the School District while any qualified teacher is on unrequested leave of absence in that field of licensure, nor will the district apply for a tier 1 or tier 2 license for any individual while a teacher who has acquired continuing contract rights is on unrequested leave of absence unless the position has been offered to and rejected by the teacher on ULA.

The district will not apply for a tier 1 or tier 2 teaching license for any individuals while a teacher who has acquired continuing contract rights is on unrequested leave of absence unless the position has been offered to and rejected by the teacher on ULA.

Failure of a notice to reach a teacher shall not be the responsibility of the District if the notice has been mailed to the most recent address provided by the teacher. b. No teacher shall be hired by the School District while any qualified teacher is on unrequested leave of absence in that field of licensure unless the teacher fails to advise the school board of their desire to accept the position within 10 days of the date of notification that a position is available to that teacher on unrequested leave. c. The District may fill any position on a temporary basis pending completion of the reinstatement procedure.
