Use of Annual Leave or Compensatory Time for Illness and/or Injury. If all accumulated sick leave has been exhausted and the employee is unable to return to work, the employee shall be entitled to use compensatory time leave or annual leave, with supervisory approval. If the employee has no accrued leave he/she shall be entitled to apply for leave of absence without pay or consult the person responsible with the personnel function at the work site concerning long term disability benefits.

Use of Annual Leave or Compensatory Time for Illness and/or Injury. If an employee has no sick leave balance, other leave balances such as compensatory or holiday time can be used with supervisory approval. When approving other leave use, the supervisor should consider the employee’s sick leave use history and other leave balance accumulations. Supervisory approval will not be unreasonably denied.

  • Use of Annual Leave The Employer may, upon request of a practitioner and with sufficient cause being shown, which may in the circumstances be with little notice, grant that practitioner single days of annual leave for pressing personal emergencies.

  • Compensatory Time for Overtime Eligible Employees A. Compensatory Time Eligibility Compensatory time off may be earned in lieu of cash only when an institution and the employee agree. Compensatory time must be granted at the rate of one and one half (1-1/2) hours of compensatory time for each hour of overtime worked.

  • Employees Not Eligible for Holiday Compensation Persons employed for holiday work only, or persons employed on a part-time work schedule which is less than twenty (20) hours in a biweekly pay period, or persons employed on an intermittent part-time work schedule (not regularly scheduled), or persons on leave without pay status both immediately preceding and immediately following the legal holiday shall not receive holiday pay.

  • No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime Employees shall not be required to layoff during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.

  • Part-time Employees Eligible for Holidays 331. Part-time employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty (20) hours in a bi- weekly pay period shall be entitled to holiday pay on a proportionate basis. 332. Regular full-time employees are entitled to 8/80 or 1/10 time off when a holiday falls in a bi-weekly pay period, therefore, part-time employees, as defined in the immediately preceding paragraph, shall receive a holiday based upon the ratio of 1/10 of the total hours regularly worked in a bi-weekly pay period. Holiday time off shall be determined by calculating 1/10 of the hours worked by the part-time employee in the bi-weekly pay period immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday falls. The computation of holiday time off shall be rounded to the nearest hour.

  • Use of Compensatory Time An employee must have the appropriate supervisor's prior approval to use accumulated compensatory time.

  • Overtime and Compensatory Time Because of the unique nature of the duties and emergency response obligations of the Division, management reserves the right to assign employees to work overtime as needed.

  • Cashing out of Annual Leave (a) Annual leave credited to an employee may be cashed out by agreement, subject to the following conditions: (refer to section 93 of the Act)
