Common use of Unpaid Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Sick Leave. Any teacher who has exhausted all of his/her accumulated paid sick leave shall be placed on unpaid sick leave for the duration of his/her illness, injury or other disability. The Board may terminate the employment relationship of the teacher after a paid and/or unpaid sick leave that has a duration greater than three (3) continuous calendar years. The Board shall not terminate any teacher if said termination would result in the termination of the teacher's long-term disability benefits.
