Transition of Vacation Year. During negotiations for the September 28, 2023 renewal of the Collective Agreement between the parties, the vacation year was moved from April 1st – March 31st to January 1st – December 31st for full time employees. Part-time employee’s vacation pay was also moved from a one-time annual pay out to a vacation pay allowance for each pay period. There will be a one-time option for those employees with twenty-three (23) years of service as of December 31, 2023 to continue to receive vacation pay allowance. As a result, the following provisions have been negotiated between the parties to help facilitate a smooth transition for the 2024 vacation year.

  • Vacation Year The vacation year shall be April 1 to March 31, inclusive.
