STRIKES AND LOCK OUTS PROHIBITED. The Parties recognize that it is essential to the County’s residents that services rendered to the public be without interruption and that the right of employees to strike is prohibited by the Statutes of the State of Michigan. Adequate procedure has been provided by this Agreement and Public Act 379 (1965) for the settlement of any grievances, disputes or impasses, which may arise between any one or more of the employees in the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement or the Union, its members, representatives, officers or committees and the Employer. Accordingly, it is agreed that neither the Union nor its members, officers, representatives or committees will cause, call, engage in, encourage or condone, and the officers of the Union will take affirmative action to preclude or terminate any slowdown or strikes against, including by not limited to, any concerted refusal to work for, any concerted absenteeism from work or from employment with, the Employer. Any employee guilty of engaging in a slowdown, work stoppage or strike shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including discharge. The Employer agrees that it shall not lock out its employees.

  • STRIKES AND LOCK-OUTS 5.01 In view of the arrangements provided by this Agreement for the disposition of any grievance as herein provided, the Company agrees that there will be no lock-out of employees and the Union agrees there will be no strike, slow-down, sit-down or other action which interferes with work or operations, or picketing of any kind or form whatsoever, however peaceful.

The Employer has the exclusive right to determine what merchandise will be carried in its store, except that the Employer agrees that, in the event of a legal strike in the plant of a supplier, it will not handle merchandise from such plant, provided however, that merchandise that was on the premises of the Employer or in transit to the Employer's premises at the time such legal strike commenced, will be handled. In the event of strikes, lock-outs or similar problems involving suppliers of goods or service, the Employer and the Union agree to meet and discuss such situation as it involves the parties to this Agreement, to endeavor to solve such problems in the best interest of the Employer, the Union and the employees, to the best of the abilities of the parties.

  • STRIKES AND LOCKOUTS The Union agrees during the term of this Agreement there will be no slowdown or strike, stoppage of work or refusal to work or to continue to work. The Employer agrees that during the term of this Agreement there will be no lockout.

  • STRIKES OR LOCK-OUTS During the term of this Collective Agreement the Union agrees that there shall be no strike and the Employer agrees that there shall be no lock-out. Subject to any Labour Relations Board (or any succeeding body) directives, if an employee employed under the terms of this Collective Agreement refuses in good conscience to cross a legal picket line, the employee shall be considered to be absent without pay, and it shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action.

  • Lost Keys, Lock Outs The Resident will be responsible for the cost of replacing lost keys (e.g., room key, mailbox key, etc.) at a cost determined by the Manager, to a maximum of $20.00 per key. If the Resident is locked out of the Resident’s Room, the Resident will pay a fee for letting the Resident into the Room, to a maximum of $5.00, or will be provided with a temporary key to be returned immediately after use. Failure to return a temporary card in the time allotted will result in a replacement fee to a maximum of $20.00.

  • STRIKE OR LOCK-OUT 11.1 In view of the orderly procedure established by this Agreement for the settling of disputes and the handling of grievances, the Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement there shall be no strike and the Board agrees that there shall be no lockout of the Members in this bargaining unit. The meaning of the words “strike” and “lock-out” shall be as defined in the Ontario Labour Relations Act and its Regulations.
