Six Period Day. If the Board determines that a six-period day for Teachers shall be followed in any one of the District's secondary schools, a Teacher assigned to a 6th period of structured classroom teaching shall be compensated at the rate of one sixth (1/6) of his or her Salary per year per hour of overload. In the event overload is for a lesser period, the compensation shall be reduced pro rata.

The schedule of five periods in a six period day does not preclude the ability to schedule a period of advisor/advisee/homeroom/differentiated support for students (e.g. tutorial assistance re-test, or make-up testing).
