Sick Days. An employee granted child-bearing leave is paid via use of sick days only when the employee is actually incapacitated and unable to work due to disability resulting from pregnancy, birth and/or recovery there from during the employee's usual days of work. For example, if the employee is incapacitated during the summer, the employee receives no pay. However, for a period of incapacity resulting from pregnancy, birth and/or recovery there from that extends into the work year (e.g. a delivery date of June 2 or August 25), the employee will be paid via use of sick days, even if the employee takes the rest of the school year off on child-rearing leave.
