The 'Services Limited' clause defines the scope and boundaries of the services that a party is obligated to provide under an agreement. Services Limited. Notwithstanding any provision hereof, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as obligating LES to provide or pay for any services for which a duly licensed attorney, real estate broker or salesman, or other licensed professional is required by law, and the Customer acknowledges that LES has no such licensed personnel in its employ.

a. In-house service and repair of the Product(s).
b. Service made necessary by misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, or improper maintenance.
c. Installation or removal of non-Star Micronics accessory retrofits, peripheral equipment or computer system of which the Product may be a part.
d. Service on covers, lids or other stationary parts, consumables such as ribbons, magnetic media, or appearance parts such as interior or exterior finishes of trim.
e. Service made necessary by any external cause, including disasters such as fire, flood, lightning, theft, alteration, problems arising from software or hardware not supplied or approved by Star Micronics. Power failures or shortage, or repairs services done by persons other than those authorized by Star Micronics to service the Product.
f. Service on Product purchased and/or used outside of covered territory.
g. Service on third party products not manufactured or sold by Star Micronics which may be installed it or used in connection with the Product.
h. Service on Product on which the Star Micronics label or logo or the rating label or serial number have been defaced or removed
I. Service made necessary by use of incompatible third party product.
3. Swap-A-Star customer is required by Star Micronics to return defective Product within ten (10) days of shipment of the exchanged Product. If Star Micronics does not receive return Product within specified period, Star Micronics shall suspend all customers future “Service” until product is returned or payment at MSRP for each unit not returned is received. Customer agrees to pay Star Micronics MSRP amount regardless of whether Customer returns the defective Product at a later date.
4. Swap-A-Star service is not available for printers that have been defaced, altered, or damaged beyond repair. Not all printer models will have the Extend-A-Star or Swap-A-Star service options available.
