Seniority Accumulation During Leave of Absence. A full-time employee shall continue to accumulate seniority during any approved unpaid leave of absence not exceeding thirty (30) consecutive working days. Should the unpaid leave of absence exceed thirty (30) consecutive working days, the employee shall retain seniority attained to the date the absence began but will not accumulate any further seniority during the absence.
Seniority Accumulation During Leave of Absence. Leaves of absence granted in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, unless herein otherwise specifically provided, shall be considered as service for seniority purposes.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Seniority Accumulation (a) (i) Part-time employees shall have their seniority expressed on the basis of number of hours worked in the bargaining unit. (The foregoing is for clarity only and therefore does not modify an employee’s level of seniority under this collective agreement or previous collective agreements.)

  • Employment During Unpaid Maternity Leave (g) Where less than the 52 weeks Other Parent Leave is taken paid or unpaid, the unused portion of the leave cannot be banked or preserved in any way.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.
