Salary Step Increases. 1. After completion of thirteen (13) biweekly pay periods of satisfactory service at step 1 of the salary range, and upon recommendation of the appointing authority, the employee shall be advanced to the next higher step. If an employee is appointed at a step higher than the first step of the salary range for that classification, the first increase shall be after completion of twenty six (26) full pay periods of service which meets standards.
