Retention and Experience Credit. All members shall receive, in addition to the pay rates established in Section 15.1, an annual payment based upon completed years of service with the City beginning at $700 per year upon attaining nine (9) years of service. For each additional year of service, this pay will increase by $25 for a maximum payment of $1,250 per year. Each Member’s retention and experience credit shall be pro-rated by pay period, by dividing the applicable credit by 2080 hours and adding the resulting amount to the Member’s regular hourly rate of pay.

Related to Retention and Experience Credit

  • Education and Experience ▪ Secondary School Honour Graduation, plus a minimum of 13 years' pertinent experience or the equivalent in experience, additional education and/or training; OR ▪ Graduation from a recognized institute of advanced technology, or equivalent formal education, and a minimum of nine years' pertinent technological experience.

  • Experience Credit a. For the purpose of this article, a teacher teaching on call (TTOC) shall be credited with one (1) day of experience for each full-time equivalent day worked.

  • Experience accrued as a member of the Occasional Teacher Bargaining Unit, defined as the total number of days worked since the most recent date of hire to the Bargaining Unit (seniority date);

  • Experience Credits Full credit for public school teaching outside of the District shall be granted up to the limits of the salary schedule.

  • Recognition of Service and Experience (a) From the time of commencement of employment an employee has three months in which to provide documentary evidence to the employer detailing any other relevant service or experience not disclosed at the time of commencement. This evidence, in the absence of other documentary evidence, may take the form of a statutory declaration.

  • Experience Pay An employee hired by the Hospital with recent and related experience, may claim at the time of hiring on a form supplied by the Hospital, consideration for such experience. Any such claim shall be accompanied by verification of previously related experience. The Hospital shall then evaluate such experience during the probationary period. Where, in the Hospital’s opinion such experience is relevant, the employee shall be slotted in that step of the wage progression consistent with one (1) year’s service for every one (1) year of related experience in the classification on the completion of the employee’s probationary period. It is understood and agreed that this shall not constitute a violation of the wage schedule of the Collective Agreement.
