Requests For Annual Leave. Requests for annual leave must be made to the supervisor in writing. The employee is expected to provide at least two (2) weeks notice of his/her intent to take annual leave of greater than five (5) consecutive days. In all other cases the employee is expected to provide at least twenty-four (24) hours notice unless it can be shown that there is extenuating circumstances. In an emergency, an application may be made by telephone (to be confirmed in writing) where the particular circumstances warrant it. Such applications shall not be reasonably withheld.

Requests for annual leave in excess of three Days shall be submitted to the Employee's Division/Department/Unit Chair/Supervisor at least 30 calendar days in advance of the date on which the Employee wishes to begin leave.

  • Requests for Leave Except as provided under Section B.3., Family Care/Medical Leave Notification, requests for leaves of absence and extensions, with or without pay, shall be submitted in writing to the University. All leave may be used in tenth of an hour increments provided, however that use of personal leave to cover tardiness related absences shall not serve as a bar or defense to disciplinary action.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.

  • Cashing out of Annual Leave (a) Annual leave credited to an employee may be cashed out by agreement, subject to the following conditions: (refer to section 93 of the Act)
